Medherant’s TEPI Patch® technology is enabled by a proprietary S-PURE silyl-functionalised polyurea prepolymer, which forms the basis of its novel pressure-sensitive adhesive. This polymer offers a clean chemical composition, helping to reduce both safety concerns and regulatory risk. The inherent adhesive properties of the polymer eliminate the need for tackifying resins, simplifying formulation and enhancing patch performance.
One of the key advantages of this crosslinking technology is its ability to prevent cold flow, avoiding the peripheral adhesive residue typically seen with conventional patches. The adhesive remains stable and sticky without spreading beyond the patch area, ensuring clean removal and consistent skin contact for full dose delivery.
Manufacturing is both simple and solvent-free, supporting efficient, scalable production.
