Transdermal drug delivery systems have been used in different forms since ancient times. The first patch reached the market in 1981 for the treatment of motion sickness and since then the technology has undergone significant development. Medherant’s TEPI patch® uses a new pressure-sensitive adhesive to both dissolve the drug and attach the patch to the skin. This results in good adhesion, even during showering, and enables the delivery of the full dose of the drug.
